First sailed in 1931, the Round The Island Race still competes for the Gold Roman Bowl, the legendary trophy presented by the race's founder Cyril Windeler. Little did he realise what he was starting. Today, over 1500 yachts, from maxi-yachts to the smallest offshore categories, and from speedy multihulls to sedate old-timers, with Admirals Cuppers competing alongside families having fun; the Round The Island is a multitude of races within a race.

There is a special prize for any boat with at least four members from one family.You can charter or hire a yacht for your family or friends to compete together in your very own Round The Island experience.
